Alberto Garcia-Carmona

I was born in San Juan, ARGENTINA. I am a Lawyer from the University of Buenos Aires, and I attended different Economy, Communication and Public Affairs Seminars, Courses and Conferences in Argentina and other countries, studding intensively many aspects of Social Sciences.

In 1991, I was chosen grant holder by the Department of State of the United States and of the Foundation for Economic Education (New York) and appointed member of the World Economic Forum, where I has been invited as lecturer for different economic and political issues of Latin America.

My professional career began in the Private Consulting field for economic projects, and later became partner at Brons & Salas Law Office (Buenos Aires), one of the most prestigious Law firms in Argentina (among the top five).

Since 1995 and for nine years, I was Director of GENERAL MOTORS Argentina, Uruguay and Paraguay managing Public Affairs, Export, Communication and Marketing areas.

During this period, GM brands were positioned among the first in the market after 15 years of being absence in the country. Also, GM's export had a record performance reaching a target of 85 % of the total production volume and reaching the #1 place in Car Industry Export Rank, just six years after the Industrial Complex began production.

Among my business afiliations, I was member of the Board of Directors at the American Bar Association, American Chamber of Commerce of Argentina, Manufacturer Car Association, Junior Achievement Argentina and Chamber of Exporters of Argentina among others.

Today with his different managerial initiatives I am adding value contributing with my experience to achieve targets and results for many companies and organizations.
