The Help Desk
My name is Philip Alcala, along with my wife Jeanette, we operate The Help Desk. I have over 15 years experience working with all types, makes, and models of PC's. I've been building my own computers since around 1997 and there's not much I haven't seen concerning these machines. I graduated from the University of Phoenix with a BS in Information Technology and also earned an Associates in Software Programming from ITT Technical Institute. Not getting enough, I earned my certifications in A+, Network+ and Security+ from CompTia. To say that working with anything IT related is my passion would merely be an understatement. When I'm not working on a computer though, I do enjoy taking walks anywhere in the Colorado Springs area. My family offers me comfort, humor, and security so I kind of like hanging out with them too. The Help Desk offers me the opportunity to do what I really enjoy most, helping people. Explaining and teaching that this machine called "PC" is not as complicated as most people think is something I will always enjoy. The Help Desk also offers me the unique opportunity to try and give back to the community. Any chance I get, I offer my services to schools, adult living communities, and online classes.
