As a performing and recording artist, pianist and singer Al Copley has won over audiences and critics with his versatility, soul, and technical prowess. He has performed solo at numerous jazz festivals across the world, including the Montreux Jazz Festival (several times on the main stage,) the Bern International Jazz Festival, JazzAscona, the San Remo Blues Fest, and the Rotterdam Boogie-Woogie Fest. Now primarily appearing in Europe and the northeastern United States, Al Copley plays regularly at the Caveau de la Huchette in Paris and is a resident artist at Rhode Island's Ocean House and at the Grand Hotel Bellevue in Gstaad, Switzerland.

Al Copley has recorded several solo and collaborative albums, including Blue Paris Nights, Keyboard Magazine's No. 2 Record of the Year for 1995 and Jump On It, which was in the Top Ten Roots Playlist charts in 2005. Mr. Copley has recorded with his jump band Roomful of Blues, which he cofounded with Duke Robillard. He also has collaborated with such artists as Lou Rawls, The Fabulous Thunderbirds, and Grammy-nominated Big Joe Turner. As a performer, he has shared the stage with numerous stars of the genre, including Etta James and the original Blues Brothers (John Belushi and Dan Aykroyd.)

A composer as well, Al Copley has performed four original symphonic orchestrations with the Boston Festival Orchestra at Summer Pops, which drew more than 26,000 listeners. His recent projects include a reunion recording with Roomful of Blues and an appearance at Chapman Roberts's Broadway Jazz Festival in New York City.
