Alecia Maragh is a programme coordinator and project officer with over 5 years experience in public relations, communications and education. She is a young professional who has been awarded the prestigious Jamaica Prime Minister Youth Award for Excellence for Youth in Service, the Jamaica Governor General's Youth Award of Excellence for Leadership and has been selected as a Governor General's I Believe Initiative Ambassador. She has gained valuable international experience working in Japan, Jamaica and North America.
As her passion includes outreach and activism, she has also travelled around the world as an international volunteer with the Non Governmental Organisation Peace Boat. She has also been selected as a Jamaican delegate for the United Nations Economic and Social Council youth forum at the UN Headquarters, NY and HOPE XXL youth conference at the Peace Palace, The Hague in preparation for the Post 2015 Development Agenda.
