Alejandra Guillén is MSc in Telecommunication Engineering graduated in the Polytechnic University of Valencia in 2006, completing her Master Thesis in TUDelft in 2005-2006. She obtained a Master in Business administration in 2007 in Universidad Politécnica de Madrid.
She joined Medtronic Ibérica in 2008 as Project Manager within the Health System Strategy department and she is currently responsible for the Solutions for Integrated Care group, centralizing all the innovation and R&D activity carried out in Spain for the development of eHealth solutions. She leads Medtronic´s participation in several European research projects focused in the improvement of chronic disease management, mainly for diabetes, heart failure and cardiovascular disease and parkinson. She is also responsible for cooperative R&D projects with Hospitals in Spain and coordinates the Medtronic EUREKA national initiative for the promotion of translational R&D and cooperative innovation with scientific institutions. Alejandra is also active in FENIN, the Spanish Federation of Medical Technology Industry, devoted to the promotion of innovation and the development of the healthcare sector.
