Phoenix native Alejandra Armstrong has found her passion for journalism living in downtown, attending the Walter Cronkite School of Journalism and Mass Communication at Arizona State University, writing for various publications and immersing herself in the culture that surrounds her.
Armstrong is a junior at the Cronkite school where she has a degree emphasis in print journalism but is embracing the change of the news industry by taking digital journalism and photo journalism classes. She is enrolled in a dual degree program for Cronkite Honor students and will receive both her bachelor’s and master’s degree when she graduates in May 2016.
Now community editor for the Downtown Devil, marketing and editorial liason for EMMA Magazine and freelance writer, Armstrong began as the columnist for her high school’s newspaper. She is eager to gather as much experience as possible to better improve her skills.
Aside from journalism, Armstrong maintains a 3.67 G.P.A in Barrett, the Honors College at ASU and enjoys the finer things in life such as the arts, Netflix and ice cream.
