Alejandra Lleras has traveled to countries around the world, including India, Brazil, New Zealand, Nicaragua, Morocco, and France. Inspired by the locales she has visited, Alejandra Lleras enjoys preparing cuisine with an international flair. Her specialties include French onion soup, and spicy soba noodle stir-fry with an almond butter twist. Her appreciation of travel also informs her reading choices; she found Rachel Joyce's recent novel, The Unlikely Pilgrimage of Harold Fry, particularly compelling.
With a love of the outdoors, Alejandra Lleras enjoys surfing, sky diving, mountain biking, and camping. She is also active in athletic activities such as fencing, gymnastics, and rock climbing, and extreme sports like parkour. She takes pleasure in dancing as both an art form and a social pastime, and has taken lessons in flamenco, salsa, swing, ballet, and lyrical modern dance. In addition, she volunteers with a number of community-focused organizations, including local homeless shelters and soup kitchens.
