Alejandro Tarre is a writer, essayist, and journalist. His work on politics and culture has been published in or cited by leading U.S., European, and Latin American outlets, including The Washington Post, NPR, CNN, Slate, Americas Quarterly, Journal of Democracy, Spain’s El País, Mexico's Letras Libres, Argentina’s La Nación, and Venezuela's El Nacional and El Universal.

He frequently comments on radio and television and is a regular guest on NTN24, a cable news channel broadcasting across the United States and much of Latin America. From 2015 to 2017, he was a columnist for El País, the leading Spanish-language newspaper.

He was a finalist for the Lorenzo Natali Prize (organized by the European Commission) and for the Inter American Press Association’s Prize for Journalistic Excellence.

He is also the author of a newsletter on politics and literature.
