Alejandro is a writer and consultant with significant experience in the US and Latin America. His reporting on international politics has been featured in leading US, European, and Latin American media outlets, including The Washington Post, NPR, Slate, Americas Quarterly, Journal of Democracy, Spain’s El País, México's Letras Libres, and Venezuela's El Nacional and El Universal.
He’s written extensively for radio and TV, explaining complex topics to a general audience. He also appears regularly as a commentator on NTN24, a cable television news channel broadcasting in the US and many Latin American countries. Between 2015 to 2017, he was a regular columnist for El País, Spain’s leading newspaper.
He was a finalist for the Lorenzo Natali Prize (organized by the European Commission) and the Prize for Journalistic Excellence of the Inter American Press Association.
