Alessandra Bautze graduated from The Johns Hopkins University, where she pursued her passion for creative writing by receiving a B.A. in The Writing Seminars and Film & Media Studies with the hopes of eventually becoming a screenwriter for independent film. She currently attends The University of Texas at Austin, where she is pursuing her MFA in Screenwriting. Enamored by academia, Alessandra is an enthusiastic student who loves learning new things and embraces new experiences. Two of her favorite pastimes include attending independent films (her go-to arthouse theater is The Charles Theater in Baltimore) and attending multicultural events around campus. Besides independent and foreign film and literary fiction, Alessandra is deeply interested in the French language, as well as French culture and cinema. Alessandra also has an interest in American Sign Language and Deaf culture. She is an avid fan of Doc Martens, and values individuality.
