Alessia Sebasta
Student and Barista in Richmond Hill
Hey! My name is Alessia Sebasta. I live in Richmond Hill and I am currently a student at Ryerson University studying my first year in Creative Industries.
I previously completed two years in the Architectural Science program at Ryerson before realizing it was not for me. My decision to change programs made me more confident in my passions for the creative world and even though it was a difficult decision, I believe I made the right choice.
I went to highschool in Aurora at Cardinal Carter Catholic Highschool and graduated with honours. My all time favourite experience in highschool was getting chosen to be a grade 9 orientation leader at Muskoka Woods. Through that trip in grade 12, I made the greatest connections with not only the grade 9’s and teachers, but also students my age that I had never gotten to know throughout my four years in highschool.
I am currently working as a Barista at a local cafe in King City, but worked as a summer student last year at a company called BGIS and worked at a local bakery for the majority of my highschool career.
Some of my passions include music, travel, fashion, fitness and wellbeing. I have played the piano since I was a kid and have been absolutely loving learning the guitar this year in my spare time. I also have been getting into self development books and practices and have become inspired to improve my mentality and hopefully be able to help others do the same.
As an optimistic person, I believe that everyone has a purpose and my goal is to make some sort of an impact on every soul I meet in this lifetime. Although I do not have a direct career in mind, I am hoping to continue to actively seek new learning experiences and do things that I love, which will in turn lead me to a job that I am passionate about. I can’t wait for what the future holds!
