Alessio Signorini

I am a PhD Candidate at the University of Iowa expecting to graduate in December 2014. My latest researches are focused on Epidemiology (Social Web Information Monitoring for Health) in collaboration with the Computational Epidemiology Group.

In the last few years I worked as Director of Search Technology for OneRiot, the first real-time search engine. Before then, I was the Director of Technology of Ask.com, the 4th largest Internet search engine in the world.

More recently co-founded Immersive Labs, a company that uses Computer Vision and Artificial Intelligence to make Advertising Billboard able to recognize who stands in front of them and target the Ads.

I am currently the CTO of The Activity Exchange.
