I convert coffee into research, mostly architectural-related.

Assistant Professor in Architectural Design and Senior Researcher at the University of Bologna (where he also teaches Architectural Design), MArch in Biodigital Architecture, PhD in Architectural Engineering, co-founder and coder at Co-de-iT (www.co-de-it.com). Advisor of 50+ Master Thesis in Engineering and Architecture; he has lectured and/or taught at (among others) AA Visiting school (Parigi, Dubai, Miami), Domus Academy (Milano), IaaC (Barcelona), École des Ponts ParisTech, ICD (Stuttgart), KTH (Stockholm), Tongji University (Shanghai), TU Innsbruck. His research interests regard the aesthetics and tectonics that emerge as a consequence of computation in architecture (and related fields), investigated through Agent-Based modeling simulation of Complex Adaptive Systems (autonomous constructor agents, whether robotic or biological). He is also skilled in computational design & 3D modeling on several platforms, among whose he has a preference for Rhinoceros, Grasshopper, C#, Java/Processing.
