One Friday in the mid-80s, Spanish TV broadcast the movie WarGames 🎮 for the first time. Fascinated by the wonders that could be achieved from a home computer 😲.

Although the Internet did not exist in Spain at that time, I didn't lack time after the movie finished to sit in front of an 8086 with a green phosphor screen to try to imitate those skills.

Shortly after, a Nintendo NES came into my home, which introduced me to my love of technology. Those wonders that fit into a small electronic circuit.

Years later, with personal computers already standardized, I stepped into my first academy in front of a 386DX at 33MHz with MS-DOS 5.0. Where I would begin to develop the foundations of my computer knowledge. When a newly purchased 486 DLC at 40MHz arrived at home, I did all kinds of tricks to it thanks to magazines of the time like PCMANIA, which described all the internal devices of a computer, how to better optimize the boot of MSDOS to have more memory to work... and play video games. Let's not fool ourselves 😄

Windows 3.11, Internet, Windows 95, Pentium with or without floating-point error, ARJ, LHA, CD-ROM, Windows NT, Itanium, Caldera, SCO UNIX... terms that have remained in the past and are part of computer history 🖥️

Today, terms like "the cloud", virtualization, cybersecurity, Windows Server, malware, blockchain... and more to come are more common, since in my world you never stop learning new technologies or new ways of working.

Over time, that initial curiosity found its way into cybersecurity, a field where I now focus my professional development and where learning never ceases to be a constant.
