Alex Crisses
Managing Director, Global Head of New Investment Sourcing, and Co-Head of Emerging Growth at General Atlantic in New York
Alex Crisses is a Managing Director at General Atlantic and focuses on investments in the firm’s Technology sector. Alex also serves as Global Head of New Investment Sourcing, leading the firm’s thematic sourcing program, and co-heads its Emerging Growth Platform. Before joining General Atlantic in 2016, Alex was a Managing Director at Insight Venture Partners where he focused on Software and Internet investments globally. Earlier in his career, Alex worked in the Investment Banking division at Credit Suisse where he focused on global energy and power.
Alex currently serves on the boards of AnyDesk, AppsFlyer, Benevity, Wellhub, Incode, and JumpCloud. He is also a board observer for Atera, Evisort, Hibob, ThreatLocker, Typeform, Zoomin, and VAST Data. Alex graduated from The Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania with a B.S. in Economics. He also earned an M.B.A. from Harvard Business School.
At Cradles to Crayons, Alex is a member of the New York Founders Council & Board. He serves on the Harvard Business School Alumni Board of Directors and the Harvard University Capital Campaign Planning Committee. Alex is a Board Member and Pediatric Counsel Member for the Hospital for Special Surgery, as well as a Board Advisor for The Hospital Systems Board. He is a Lincoln Center Board Fellow and has been an active member and former fundraising director for Minds Matter, a charity serving underprivileged high school students in New York City. Alex is also a Young Leadership Committee Member for the New York City Police Foundation.
