I'm motivated by difficult problems. If it doesn't hurt to think about it, I'm not interested.

I became fascinated with the catalytic power of early-stage investments at a young age. Since then, I have designed and launched niche startup accelerator and incubation programs for the nonprofit, private, and public sectors, with unique models tailored for each industry. Today, these programs help hundreds of entrepreneurs to innovate technology, raise follow-on funding, create jobs, and drive local economies.

Currently, I'm leading Kanone, an educational program for software developers. I'm also a co-founder and general partner of The Collective Funds, a Kansas City-based VC fund focused on seed and early stage investment opportunities.

I am an active board member for several nonprofits and proudly served as the founding president of Raise Your Hand For Kids - a Missouri ballot initiative to increase funding and investment in early childhood education and health. Be sure to vote in November, 2016!

I'm alumnus of Rockhurst High School and Loyola Marymount University, with degrees in Biology and Physics. I'm also a certified ski instructor, lover of the Kansas City Zoo, and an avid member of the Kansas City Yo-Yo & Juggling Club.
