Alexander King

Teacher, Writer, and Father in Aberdeen, United Kingdom

I grew up in the Puget Sound area of Washington State with sensitivity to the interconnections of Pacific rim peoples from an early age. I have long been fascinated by the mythology and oral narratives of Northwest Coast Native Americans. My anthropological research started with long trips to Kamchatka, Russia, where I learned about Koryak culture and oral narratives. I am currently working on documenting the Koryak language and comparing indigenous NE Asian orature with that of indigenous NW America.
