We've all heard the idiom, 'jack of all trades, master of none.' for better or worse, this is no longer applicable to our society. In this, the age of information, the more skills you master, the more valuable you become and consequently, the more successful. The recipe for success of a barely bygone age will tell you to pick one thing and become good at it. But the present condition dictates another truth: Become good at as many things as you can. Only time will tell which truth will out.
