Alexander Udodov

Owner of Aforra Group, Alexander Udodov is a Russian businessman and real estate developer. He is also a board member of the Eurasian Pipeline Consortium. Udodov is known for his strategic investment strategies and his commercial property portfolio.
Born in the Republic of Dagestan in the late 1960s, Alexander Udodov started his adult life by serving in the Soviet Army for three years. He then started working in the industrial construction and energy sector when taking on the role of department manager in the transport division of UkrEnergoMotntazh, a top Ukranian construction and installation company. Udodov then enrolled with Kiev University of Law. He completed his Law degree and graduated in 2001. While he was studying, Udodov worked at J&P Corporation, a Latvian logistics and transport company, where he was responsible for the operation of the Moscow office. Between 2010 and 2014 he worked as Vice-President of Itera Group – an international group of companies in the oil and gas industry. During his tenure at Itera Udodov was responsible for non-core assets and real estate investment projects.
In 2011 the launch of Udodov’s first shopping center marked the start of what would eventually be a substantial commercial real estate portfolio which includes five commercial buildings. In 2016-2017 Alexander started exploring the business opportunities of import substitution. In 2016 he began the development of a state-of-the-art balneological center. In 2017 he opened a mushroom cultivation company on a production site in Kursk region. Named Mushroom Rainbow, the company started producing as much as 8,000 tons of champignon by mid-2018. It is estimated that annual production will increase to around 17,000 tons by 2019 to meet the increasing demand for "home grown" mushrooms.
