Alex Brown

Boston, Massachusetts, United States

Born and raised in Boston, Massachusetts, I am a junior at the Isenberg School of Management pursuing a BBA in Finance with a minor in Economics. Upon graduation in May, 2015, my hopes are to become a titan within the financial services industry. This experience will present me with endless possibilities and opportunities to achieving the career goals I have set for myself. I plan to make it back to home one day to earn my MBA at Harvard Business School; a place down the street from where I grew up and a regular walking route with my parents as a baby in a stroller. I have always dreamed big and believe that with enough hard work anything is possible.

Not only do I aspire to achieve success in my career, but it’s also very important to fulfill my passions in life. Everyone can have multiple passions. They are things that keep us going everyday, that we take pride or excitement in, a cause we seek to help out. Three of my greatest passions in life are my family, helping others, and sports.

I would not be where I am today if it wasn’t for the help and support from my loving family, especially my amazing mother (yes, I am the biggest Momma’s boy and I take pride in that). Growing up, my parents did their best to provide for my sister and I; I can’t thank them enough for that. I hope to have a large family of my own and I work extremely hard now so that I too can provide for my wife and children.

I consider myself lucky to be in my current position. This summer I will be a Summer Analyst at an investment bank where I will be granted many benefits others normally will never have. I have learned that it’s important to always give back and to help out others. I have been known to give inspiring advice and show great passion when speaking about careers, interests, and life. One day I hope to sit on the boards of Non-Profit organizations as well as becoming a teacher or professor. My life goal is to make a positive impact on the world and there is no better way to do so than showing others you care and that you are here to help.
