Alexander J. Cohen

Born and raised on Long Island, New York

I began working at 15 years old as a cashier at our local McDonald's. After years of working my way up through McDonalds becoming a trainer, shift manager, second assistant manager and eventually first assistant manager, in 2012, I decided to go back to college and finish my education.

I began attending Nassau Community College in Garden City, New York as a Business Administration major. After maintaining a 3.68 GPA and making the dean's list for the four semesters I attended, I graduated with my A.S Business Administration in the Summer of 2014, Cum Laude.

I then picked up my New York life and moved to Dallas, Texas. It has been a great decision in my life thus far. I began attending the University of Texas at Dallas Naveen Jindal School of Management in the Fall semester 2014. With the guidance of my advisors and professors as well as my love of working with people, i chose an Organizational Behavior and Human Resources Concentration.

My love of people and business and having a desire to better an organization through the employees that work there is what drives me. Having worked on the front lines for restaurants and retail stores personally as well as my father being a retail manager my whole life gives me a great sense as to what it takes to motivate employees while making them more effective and efficient in their roles. My personality brings out the best in people and I am able to challenge them to reach their true potential. This earns trust and respect with the people i am helping.
