Alexander Eastman

As a trauma surgeon, surgical intensivist, and EMS physician, Dr. Alexander Eastman has spent over two decades treating and assisting many of the most severely injured patients in North Texas, in close partnership with first responders and law enforcement.
For more than two decades, Dr. Eastman has been an integral part of the Dallas trauma community. He formerly served at Parkland Health (including as Interim Chief and Medical Director of the Rees-Jones Trauma Center) and practices with Medical City Healthcare. He educates the next generation as Associate Professor of Surgery at the Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences.
Since 2004, Dr. Eastman has served as a sworn member of the Dallas Police Department, currently holding the rank of Lieutenant and serving as Chief Medical Officer.
A Fellow of the American College of Surgeons, Dr. Eastman is nationally recognized for enhancing trauma systems, advancing resuscitation care, and advocating for injury prevention as a public health priority.
