In 2012, personal safety technology entrepreneur Alexander Salahshour founded CellFamily LLC, a company that has developed a mobile app to prevent texting and driving by teenagers. As designer of the CellFamily app, he has included a function for automatically locking young drivers’ smartphones when they are operating an automobile. Alexander Salahshour has attained distribution deals with Best Buy and AAA Northeast Ohio, as well as garnered attention from multiple media sources for the CellFamily app’s potential to safeguard teenagers from fatal car accidents.
Prior to forming CellFamily, Alexander Salahshour launched Agent Alarm, LLC, which provides an Android- and iOS-compatible mobile app for real estate professionals. The app enables an agent to send distress messages embedded with location data to personal contacts if he or she becomes endangered on the job. Salahshour has forged affiliations between Agent Alarm and the National Association of Real Estate Brokers, as well as several major realty agencies. Under his direction, Agent Alarm operates a charitable division that grants a portion of all app sale proceeds to the Vivian Martin Scholarship Fund, the namesake endowment of a Realtor whose life was taken in the course of duty.
Alexander Salahshour holds a bachelor’s degree in business from Ohio State University. He attended high school at Gilmour Academy and as a senior won the 2006 National Debate Championship.
