He has build 2 companies with a total value of $1bn called mondus, an early b2b marketplace (Exit to Seat Pagine Gialle) as well as a global mobile phone operator (in GSM and OTT technologies) called truphone.

Alexander Straub has been named Technology Pioneer by the World Economic Forum and his companies have achieved numerous awards over the years.

As the CEO of Empora Group GmbH he heavily invests into hard to solve technology issues, training of young engineers in Germany and he believes into improving individuals lifes via R&D, execution and focus in start-ups.

In 2010 he started Empora Group GmbH in Wismar, Germany
Empora Group operated globally in 11 languages as of March 2013 and has reached worlds largest Fashion Social Network status as of March 2013 in overall Page Impressions and monthly user number.
