Contributing to the fight against HIV/AIDS has been part of who I am for as long as I can remember. From passing out red ribbons for World AIDS Day at my high school to bringing HIV screening and treatment programs to patients in some of the most remote areas of South America, I have always been devoted to helping people living with HIV/AIDS, their families and their communities. No matter what aspect of HIV care I was handling, from prevention to education, screening to treatment, advocacy to policy-making, my commitment to the individuals and the community has been my trademark.
I feel most at home working with vulnerable and hard-to reach populations and my best work comes from being in a position where my contributions and efforts show tangible results and make a lasting impact on the lives of those I aim to help.
