My name is Alexandra Hellman! I am originally from Los Angeles, California, but I currently live in Russia. My mother is Russian, and my father is from the US, so I speak Russian and English fluently, as well as a little bit of French.
Currently, I am finishing my junior year at the Anglo-American School of Moscow, where I was introduced to MUN for the first time. Since my first conference at the THIMUN-affiliated Paris MUN in my sophomore year, I have participated in five other international conferences.
Although I have been a delegate only twice (Paris MUN and THIMUN The Hague), I have also held the positions of: advocate in the ICJ (Helsinki MUN), President of Security Council (Paris MUN), and Secretary General of the first Central Eastern European Schools Association (CEESA) MUN that I helped initiate at my school this year!
I am super excited to be part of O-MUN for the first time and cannot wait to meet so many people from all around the world right from my computer screen! For a rising senior like me, O-MUN is an amazing opportunity to be able to debate and create resolutions without having to travel and miss major IB exam preparation at school, and I hope that you will join us in a debate some time soon!
