Since decades it has been studied the importance of the mind in the performance of athletes. Sport Psychology and Coaching offers a multidimensional approach to this phenomenon. There are clear evidence that mind and body work closely together, considering that high- performance is achieved exactly when both, body and mind, are in symbiosis during the sport event. From this perspective, work with the athlete means: first to recognize and then to get over their mental barriers with the goal to achieve peak performance. And this is my task as Sport Psychologist and Coach.
My mission is to help athletes to develop necessary abilities and skills that help them to adapt to any sport challenge, keeping their mind focused, flexible and open, competing in their peak performance.
To reach this state of peak performance, it is not only necessary to work out mind and body of the athlete, furthermore their world of emotions. Daniel Goleman was the great author who introduced for the first time the concept of Emotional Intelligence. Now a days it has achieved a significant and irrefutable value in all kind of aspects in human life: in school, at work, personal relations and in the sport area.
The introduction of Emotional Intelligence, not only offers the keys to perceive and understand own emotions moreover it brings efficient tools to control this emotions. This great progress allows to perceive the human being beyond a rational mind- body binomial, developing to an approach much more developed and at the same time more effective and personal when it comes to work with the athlete.
From this perspective and introducing methods of NLP, understanding each athlete as a unique person with his/her own mind and emotions, I offer my services as Sport Psychologist and Coach, using a wide range of techniques, strategies and methods, to help the athlete to achieve their peak performance.
