I've been editing fiction since 2009, and I absolutely love doing it. I firmly believe that it's the attention to little details that can make a work stand out. After all, why have an agent agree that your piece is brilliant, except for all those misplaced commas, awkward word choices, and plot holes, when you can go to the effort of having someone give it a good polish first? Even the best of us have room to improve our writing and can get caught out by a typo or two.
That's why there are people like me, I suppose--people who enjoy looking for that sort of thing and helping you polish up.
