Student and Teaching Assistant in Amherst, Massachusetts
"When you run into something interesting, drop everything else and study it." - B. F. Skinner
Oh, hello there everyone, thank you for visiting my page! I'm Alexandra Silver, a first generation Bolivian-Romanian student at University of Massachusetts Amherst. In May of 2017, I will be graduating with a degree in Psychology (BS), with an Education Minor and a certificate in Developmental Disabilities and Human Services. I aspire to be an Occupational Therapist in Early Intervention. Welcome to a glimpse into my journey; I've made luck out of motivation and created goals out of inspiration – and my drive comes from a pure love of learning. I am committed to pursuing a career teaching learning skills and adaptive behaviors to young children with Developmental, Intellectual, or Learning Disabilities. Reflective of my ideas regarding effective teaching and learner diversity, I will implement creative, individualized instructional approaches to foster an early love of learning in populations that suffer from societal stigma that puts a ceiling on their capacity for growth and ability.
