The average customer may be a college student, mother with her kids, father with kids, families or an individual that would like a cool treat. All of these individuals live in a middle class environment or college campus.
When it is hot outside, we will provide customers with a treat to cool them down at a cheap price. We will offer ice cream as well as Marshmallow cream to go on top. The ice will be shaved which is very popular compared to crunchy ice. The cups will be state sports teams inspired. On college campus', students like to represent where they're from. By having the themed cups, they'll gain a greater appreciation for the snowball. Also, we will have college day where college students will get a discount.
I will use social media such as Facebook, Instagram and Twitter. I feel as if this generation is the social media generation and if I want to be able to reach them, I need to meet them half way. Also, this will be an efficient way for me to communicate much better with customers. As far as Facebook, there will be a Business Page. For the other outlets, I will use students on campus that have pretty well known titles to help me advertise the business.
There will be a Facebook page where we will advertise monthly promotions. For customers, they will be able to receive a free snowball on their birthday. Also, for the first month of being open we will do a random selection of "fan of the day" only twice a week on our Facebook Page. This person will receive a phone call mentioning that they have been selected to receive a free snowball. They can come in any day to retrieve it. They have to like things or comment on our page to be randomly chosen. This will make them feel special and this will gives us the chance to speak and connect with the customer.
The main revenue will come from the cost of the snowballs which for small to large will not exceed $3.00. The small sized snowball will have a set price of $1.50. The medium will be $2.00 and the large $2.50. Any topping they would like will cost extra. Being that the prices that my competitors have are a little higher than mine, I may raise my prices to the point where they are still cheaper than other shops.
