I am a Creative Industries student who is focusing on film, project management and media. I have an immense passion for the city of Hamilton which I have developed through volunteering and working with multiple organizations in the community. Merging education with proven experience I have gained skills in customer service, administrative duties, and event planning.
In 2016, I started my degree in Creative Industries at Ryerson University. This program so far, has provided comprehensive knowledge in project management, working in a professional team environment, creating creative content using Adobe Creative Suite, creative problem solving, customer experience and essential soft skills. Currently I am a member of the Events Committee for my Course Union.
What truly distinguishes myself is my commitment, experience and engagement at the community level. This is demonstrated in an organization which I co-founded as well as the numerous places I have volunteered in the Hamilton and Toronto Community. Sisters4Sisters, a charitable organization established in 2014, was founded with the purpose of raising funds for various community groups that work directly with women and children. I have also volunteered with the Salvation Army of Hamilton, TIFF 2017 and the 2017 Hot Docs Festival.
I plan on merging my passion for the Ontario Creative Industries with community engagement by working with the provincial government and non-profit organizations.
