Student, Writer, and travel writer in Wellington, New Zealand
I am currently in my third and final year of study, majoring in media and anthropology. At the same time I'm trying to break into the wild world of freelance journalism! Having written for music sites, fashion magazines and media regulation and news companies I'm fairly broad in content coverage abilities. That's the professional side. I'm also an avid traveler and am in a constant state of travel nostalgia and anticipation for the next big trip.
So far I've been on two international business trips as a travel writer. The first was to Malaysia where I spent a week doing an investigative piece on the medical tourism industry, centred in Kuala Lumpur.
The second was a few weeks ago to the very beautiful Solomon Islands doing a tourism piece. It was unbelievably beautiful and the islands are truly the gems of the Pacific.
Next on the adventuring cards is a trip to India and South-east Asia in twelve months to celebrate graduation and to hopefully sell a freelance travel story.
For now I'm keen to keep writing, indulge in more David Bowie music than is humanly possible, and keep up with my love of learning about the world around me.
