I'm a teacher of Modern Languages, an Assistant Headteacher, and am passionate about language teaching and the engagement and motivation of students. It's a job and a challenge I really enjoy. I'm especially keen on trying to harness technology to inspire and engage learners, and was one of the first teachers in England to have set up a blog for students.

I have written resources for KS3 text books, appeared before the All Party Parliamentary Group on Modern Languages at the House of Lords, and have featured in the Times Educational Supplement. I am an experienced trainer and speaker, and have presented at events such as Language World and The Language Show. I offer bespoke training to schools and at conferences.

Somehow I also find the time to play a bit of tennis, bass guitar, and reach new levels of frustration following Ipswich Town.
