In 2003, after working for four electeds in SF and DC, I started the boutique communications shop Barbary Coast Consulting (one of four "elite" firms in San Francisco, said the New York Times.) We've been hired by Google, Walgreens, Capt. Sully Sullenberger, Nielsen Media Research, Sutter Health, the YMCA, labor unions, developers, industry groups, independent schools, and entrepreneurs to help them successfully navigate their way through complex strategic and communications challenges. I hatched the "must-read," according to SFGate, website Usual Suspects for Bay Area political cognoscenti. I lecture at the University of San Francisco, serve on the Coro Board, have too many Linked-In recommendations, and am crazy in love with my wife Priya, daughter Casey Rose and son Benjamin.
