Alex Cowan
Expedition Leader in Antarctica
I am a polar expedition leader, an earth scientist and a naturalist with an interest in climate and oceanography, and I run sea ice and atmospheric data collection projects in the Arctic.
I have worked as a professional yacht skipper, instructor and engineer, and I'm an experienced mountaineer and skier; I have provided crevasse rescue training to groups working in glaciated terrain and am always working to improve my guiding skills.
I am a Fellow of the Royal Geographical Society and of The Explorers Club. Feel free to contact me for advice, ask a question or if you have an idea for collaboration.
