Alex Gotch

Alex Gotch is a Sydney-based recruiter and career consultant for the legal industry. Initially beginning his career as a practising lawyer, Alex gained experience working in top law firms in the UK, US, and Australia, as well as inhouse legal counsel in the finance sector. For the last decade, Alex has applied his skills and insights into building Beacon Legal and has grown the company’s reputation as a leading and trusted legal recruitment brand.

Currently working as the Director at Beacon Legal, Alex is responsible for the strategic operations of the business, including hiring and expansion, business marketing, client relations and new business development. Alex is focused on strengthening the company’s advising and consulting service, ensuring Beacon Legal can source and place the top legal talent in law firms, inhouse legal teams, government, and non-for-profit organisations. Beacon Legal has offices in Sydney and London, and services key international markets: Australia, Asia, UK, New York, Dubai, and the Cayman Islands.

As the business has grown, Alex has remained determined to operate with the same commitment to excellent service and quality, helping to grow the careers of many of the industry's leading and emerging executives.

Alex holds an Honours degree in Law from Bournemouth University as well as a Distinction in Legal Practice from the London College of Law. Outside of his professional work, Alex is a keen golfer, footballer and general sports enthusiast.
