I am a strategic communications professional with more than 30 years of experience helping leaders and organizations navigate complex challenges with clarity and purpose. Throughout my career, I have worked across journalism, government, corporate, and consulting roles, all centered around one goal: turning ideas into clear, actionable plans.

I began my career as a television reporter and anchor, where I learned how to communicate under pressure and tell meaningful stories. I later transitioned into public service, serving as Press Secretary to Tennessee Governor Don Sundquist, working in the White House for First Lady Laura Bush, and building the communications office for U.S. Senator Lamar Alexander. I also served as Director of Communications for Governor Bill Haslam and held leadership roles in both state and local government.

Today, I am the founder of Poe Consulting, LLC, where I work with public, private, and nonprofit organizations. I focus on strategic communications, crisis management, and organizational alignment. I believe that clear thinking leads to clear action, and that strong communication is the foundation for effective leadership and lasting impact.
