Ms. Retallack brings an innovative, entrepreneurial and energetic approach to marketing, writing, public relations and crisis communications, designing multifaceted approaches including but not limited to use of print mediums, social media, and traditional venues.
Ms. Retallack offers a variety of services to support authors of books, articles, and technical documents. As editor of Outdoor California for 10 years, she built skills in editing, book formatting, print publishing support and e-publishing support.
During her tenure with the California Department of Fish and Wildlife and Office of Spill Prevention and Response, Ms. Retallack earned her Type II Incident Response Certification for Public Information Officer, along with a robust program for integrating social media into emergency response.
In 2015, Ms. Retallack joined the dynamic mPOWER Program in Placer County which provides Property Assessed Clean Energy financing to help property owners save energy, conserve water and create jobs. She serves as the Marketing and Government Affairs Manager, developing marketing and promotional activities, and expanding awareness of the program through traditional and social media.
Ms. Retallack believes in passing knowledge on, and so joined the University of Phoenix as an associate faculty. She has been teaching at the Sacramento Valley Campus since 2010.
