Alex Jacquet
Experienced Media and Entertainment Executive in Los Angeles, California
As an executive in the Media and Entertainment space, Alex Jacquet focuses on helping companies position themselves within a constantly shifting landscape. His interest in entertainment and entrepreneurship started when he and a high school friend created a business focused on Playstation gaming peripherals. Later, as a student at Stanford University, Alex Jacquet joined the Social Entrepreneurship Startup (SES) project, which worked to develop new technologies to improve the life experiences of people with hearing impairments.
Alex Jacquet went on to serve as an Analyst in the Global Industrial Investment Banking group of Lehman Brothers. In this role, he developed analyses and financial models for a variety of transactions. In 2008, he accepted a Senior Analyst position with the Walt Disney Company, where he fulfilled similar functions in Disney's Corporate Strategy and Business Development group, including the 2010 sale of Miramax and Disney's largest ever investment in India, UTV.
In 2012, Alex Jacquet enrolled at Stanford University Graduate School of Business. He became co-president of the school's Media and Entertainment Club and served as a teaching assistant for a Leadership and Entertainment class. He also took on a summer role at Hulu, helping in content valuation and strategic analyses around a potential change to Hulu's business model.
Mr. Jacquet graduated with his MBA in 2014 and became the first employee at Smiletime, a startup founded by Hulu and WB Games executives. In this role, he continues to focus on the future of interactive media.
