Alexander Prater

Hello everyone! My name is Alexander Prater, aka Alex Prater, aka alexjprater, aka Big Al! I have lived in Troy Michigan my entire life, and I am currently a senior at Troy High School.

If I had to describe my goals with one emoji, it would probably be 🌝 (full_moon_with_smile on Windows 10 May 2019 Update)

You might be thinking, why does full_moon_with_smile on Windows 10 May 2019 Update represent my goals? First, the smile. If I saw a glass that is halfway filled with water, I would see it half full. Basically, I choose to be optimistic. I would describe myself as a happy person, and I try to keep a smile on my face. I try my hardest to not get upset or sad because life is just much better when I choose to view life with a positive outlook.

But why the moon? Why not a Bart Simpson color normal smile emoji? I choose a full moon because a full moon to me represents achieving. The moon starts its journey in darkness, it starts as nothing. As the moon travels, it slowly becomes more complete until it finally becomes full.

My life to me is like a moon transforming from dark to light. I started in darkness, and as I have grown as a person through learning and experiences I have started to light up. As I achieve goals and work hard I start to become more complete.

I have many goals I have to reach before I can be fully illuminated. I want to go to college. I want to become an engineer. I want to live in Chicago. But where I am right now in my life, I am only a crescent. As I continue to learn and grow, I will illuminate until I become full, just like 🌝 (full_moon_with_smile on Windows 10 May 2019 Update).
