Alex began his career in the United States Marine Corps, becoming a non-commissioned officer. During his service in Al Anbar Province, Iraq, he took part in high-risk convoy security missions. His leadership abilities were honed through these missions, where he also assumed supervisory responsibilities to ensure the safety and readiness of his team. One of his notable assignments was in Okinawa, Japan, where he was responsible for overseeing the well-being of more than 30 service members. After leaving the military, Alex transitioned to the public sector, joining the Social Security Administration. In this role, he conducted investigative interviews, determined eligibility for benefits, and made decisions that directly impacted individuals’ lives. His fluency in both English and Spanish enabled him to communicate effectively with people from diverse backgrounds, ensuring that all individuals received fair and accurate treatment. Alex’s work extended beyond regular duties, as he handled complex cases involving congressional inquiries, overpayment recovery, and fraud prevention. Alex’s career then took him to the private sector, where he applied his leadership skills to the insurance industry. Starting as the sales director at one of South Florida’s largest brokerages, he focused on improving communication and operational processes within the company. His success in this role led to his promotion to Director of Broker Support and Licensing. In this capacity, Alex worked to ensure that agents complied with all regulatory requirements, including CMS and state DOI policies. His leadership approach emphasized mentorship, team development, and creating a culture of accountability and mutual respect.
