Alex Parker

Alex Parker was born in the city of Rochester, New York, into a household where the values of education and community participation were held in high esteem. Growing up in this nurturing environment, he attended local public schools and demonstrated a keen aptitude for learning, particularly excelling in subjects related to the sciences. They were actively involved in various clubs, notably the science club, where they nurtured a growing interest in environmental matters. He was also an integral member of the school soccer team, showcasing their ability to balance academic pursuits with extracurricular activities.

Their academic journey continued at the University of Rochester, where Alex pursued a degree in Environmental Science. Their choice of study was driven by a deep-seated passion for understanding and addressing the environmental challenges of our times. He graduated in 2010 with a Bachelor's degree, having distinguished themselves through their academic rigor and active participation in university-led ecological projects. Eager to further their expertise, he enrolled in Georgetown University's Public Policy program, where they specialized in environmental policy and sustainable development, completing their Master’s degree in 2014.

After completing their education, Alex embarked on a career dedicated to substantially impacting environmental policy and practice. They began their career in Washington, D.C., working for a nonprofit organization focused on sustainable urban development. Here, he was instrumental in shaping policies that targeted the reduction of urban carbon emissions and promoting green building practices, contributing to legislative changes that have had long-lasting effects on urban planning.

In 2017, Alex transitioned into the corporate sector by joining a consultancy firm as an Environmental Strategist. This role tapped into his skill in bridging the gap between environmental advocacy and corporate responsibility. They worked with multinational corporations, helping them devise and implement sustainability strategies that were both environmentally sound and economically viable.

Motivated by a desire to drive broader change, Alex founded their consulting firm in 2020. The firm specializes in helping businesses implement sustainable environmental practices. Under his leadership, the firm has developed a reputation for innovative solutions that align environmental responsibility with business success.
