Alex Unruh

Alexander Unruh entered the world on May 7, 2003, at Lankenau Medical Center in Bryn Mawr, Pennsylvania. His life has been a tapestry woven with academic successes, notable athletic achievements, and a commendable dedication to serving his community. These facets have profoundly shaped his character and continue to drive his aspirations.

Alexander's upbringing in Bryn Mawr provided a stable foundation for his impressive academic and athletic journey, beginning at Gladwyne Elementary School and progressing through Welsh Valley Middle School. It was during these formative years that he demonstrated significant aptitude in sports, particularly excelling in baseball and squash. This early promise set the stage for his later achievements at Harriton High School and during his time at Westminster School in Simsbury, Connecticut. However, he ultimately returned to Harriton to complete his high school education in March 2022.

In high school, Alex Unruh distinguished himself not just academically but also as a formidable athlete in multiple sports. He played varsity basketball and baseball and was the captain of the squash team, showcasing his leadership and athletic prowess. Beyond the sports fields, he was deeply involved in the Ozone Art Club. He took a leadership role in the spirit committee, influencing his peers positively and fostering a vibrant school community.

Alexander's athletic career is highlighted by a transformative trip to Cuba for baseball in eighth grade, which enriched his skills and broadened his cultural horizon. His exceptional skill in squash earned him a national ranking, highlighting his competitive spirit and dedication to the sport.

Alex Unruh is currently pursuing higher education at Ohio State University, majoring in Sports Industry and minoring in Political Science. This combination reflects his passion for sports and a keen interest in understanding its broader social and political implications. His college experience is further enriched by his involvement in the Pi Kappa Phi Fraternity, where he engages in various community and leadership activities.
