Alex joined CIC in July 2010 as a research consultant, and now is the research manager in CIC’s knowledge and innovation center, which is the think tank and driving engine of knowledge development and business innovation at CIC.

In CIC, Alex is recognized as the expert of China social media landscape and social research/analytic industry. He oversees social media intelligence and competitive dynamics of CIC, comprehensively supporting corporate business development. Based on his expertise, Alex is highly involved in key client service and top management strategy planning.

Moreover, Alex is leading CIC’s thought leadership in social business area. He reshaped CIC social research system, conducted the prospective study of social business, and participated in social business consulting service to strategic clients. He was the key contributor of CIC’s first Social Business white paper series "From Social Media to Social Business" during 2011-2012. It is also worth to mention that Alex is the author of industry iconic infographic ”China Social Media Landscape”, which has been quoted by peers again and again. Besides, Alex is a frequent contributor to industry publications such as Advertising Panorama, Sino-Manager, China Business News, Blue Book of China’s Media.

Alex holds Bachelor Degree (BA) of Biomedical Engineering from Zhejiang University. Prior to working in CIC, Alex began his career in Deloitte, where he provided enterprise risk management consulting service to leading financial groups in China.

Outside work Alex is an active volunteer in JA (Junior Achievement, the world’s largest organization dedicated to educating students about workforce readiness, entrepreneurship and financial literacy through experiential, hands-on programs), and was awarded as The Best Volunteer in 2012.
