Alex Yip

As a designer, I am inspired by the unexpected, and blend sensibility with an otherworldly attitude in my designs. This ironic expression of creativity is the driving force behind my aesthetic. Some of my favorite fashion pastimes involve working with innovative fabrics, interesting style lines, and bizarre concepts. I showed my first collection in Fall 2010 and have been pursuing my design dream since. I graduated with a B.S. in Apparel Design and Merchandising at San Francisco State University in 2011 and am currently designing for Ours, a casual contemporary clothing line.

My objective is to establish a career and make an impact on the fashion industry. Throughout my education, internships, and work experience, I have gained a great deal of experience in the creative, technical, and business sides of fashion. As an employee, I communicate well both written and verbally, have a strong work ethic, am professional, creative, self-motivated, effective, friendly, and responsible.
