Triazine is a prototype molecule that has a wide range of commercial uses along with its derivatives, such as in resins, dyes, herbicides, or as a sulfide remover. Triazines are a type of nitrogen-containing heterocycles. The most famous triazine is the 1,3,5-triazine derivative of melamine and cyanuric chloride (2,4,6-trichloro-1,3,5-triazine). Melamine has three amino substituents and is the precursor of commercial resins.
