What’s up, I’m Alfie, known also as Alfred Hitchcat or Bravecat. I am an alley cat that was born most likely with rhinotracheitis received in my mom's uterus and I developed a strong eye infection my his first month of life.

My foster mom, Alina Anton, found me last year, in July 2018, when I was around 1 month of age or so and wandering the streets near her office in Bucharest. I was most likely in danger of being killed as I couldn't see from of all the pus and dirt in my swollen eyes.

I am a fighter and I have a strong will for living, as after three weeks of daily injections with antibiotic and more than two months of taking care of me with vitamins and vaccines, I managed to overcome the disease, remaining only with my eyelids affected and scars on the cornea.

Alina is raising money for my eye reconstruction surgery. Even though the rhinotracheitis is cured, I will get the chance of having better sight. The surgery will rearrange my 3rd eyelids at both eyes, will remove any scars from the cornea, open my right eye more and I will have better eye drainage for diminishing the watering.

The estimated cost of the surgery is around 300 USD plus additional expenses for medicine and vet visits afterwards. Since Alina has found me she has taken care of me, took me to the vet and took care of all the medication needed to overcome my disease. I am very grateful to the doctors from Canivet that cured my rhinotracheitis last year and made it in such a way so Alina would pay only the medicine and not their service.
