Alfie Venner Woodcock

My name is Alfie Venner Woodcock, welcome to my blog. I graduated with English literature in 2012 and since then I have worked in the food industry while writing alongside. I had a placement at the Eastern Daily Press, before going on to edit the Yoga Magazine during a monthlong internship. While in London I wrote regular Theatre reviews for whats-on-london, while also writing freelance articles for companies such asJoycott.com and Wait.co.uk.

I worked on the food blog coriandercumin for two years, while I lived in Norwich and then in London. This project documents me killing and preparing cockerels in Somerset, sampling the finest London Honey, reviewing restaurants in the South of Franceand making a raw milk cheese with an Australian master cheese maker in South London.

I now live in Portsmouth and work in the city’s first and only sourdough bakery. As I work shifts in the early mornings and the afternoons, I have the time to get down to what I really love doing – writing.

Please contact me if you would like to commission content – I specialise in food, restaurants, reviews, theatre, film, literature, promotion of independent businesses, hospitality and more.
