Alfonso Rembert is a noted game changer in the realm of social justice whose efforts led to the removal of Lee Baca as the sheriff of Los Angeles County and the reform of the county's jail system. Alfonso Rembert educates the public on these important social issues via Rembert's Worldwide Networking, LLC, and supports nonprofits such as the American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (ASPCA).

The ASPCA is one of the largest humane societies in the world. It operates under the belief that all animals deserve kind treatment and should be protected under the law and, as such, advocates against various forms of animal cruelty. One of the most complex forms of animal cruelty is animal hoarding. This generally involves an individual housing more animals than they can adequately care for. Animals under the care of these owners often don't receive proper nutrition, shelter, or veterinary care. As a result, they are more susceptible to illness, starvation, or death.

Mental health is a critical element of animal hoarding, as most pet owners in this situation believe they are helping these animals and are apparently oblivious to the inadequate care that they are providing. Common signs of an animal hoarder include an inability to recall how many animals they own, a deteriorated home with feces- and urine-covered floors, and animals that are either lethargic or emaciated. Approximately 250,000 animals per year in the US die as a result of animal hoarding, yet only Illinois and Hawaii have explicit legal language addressing the issue. Therefore The American Society for Prevention of Cruelty to Animals desperately needs your financial help today, please donate.
