I am the owner of Cooler Critics. I love hunting, spending time outdoors, and testing gear. With more than 15 years of hands-on experience, I put equipment through real-world tests so outdoor enthusiasts, hunters, and campers can make smart choices about their gear.

Whether I’m tracking game in remote areas or testing tough coolers in hot weather, I care most about how gear performs, how long it lasts, and how useful it really is—not just what the ads say.

I earned a B.S. in Wildlife Management and Conservation from the University of Montana.

I’m also a certified Wilderness First Responder through NOLS Wilderness Medicine.

For over ten years, I’ve worked as a field gear consultant, testing and reviewing outdoor products for online publications and gear brands.

When I’m not testing coolers or reviewing gear, I’m usually out on the trail, exploring new places, or relaxing by a campfire and getting ready for the next season.
