Algasim Bah

Ladies and gentlemen, we present to you Mr Algasim bah. A Gambian who was born on the 9th of October, 2003 in new jeshwang.

Algasim attended serrekunda lower basic school from 2009 to 2015. He was part of the top ten students selected to attend Charles Jow memorial academy.

He spent three years in Charles jow and represented the school in many competitions like drama and debate where he always came out as outstanding. He completed Charles jow memorial academy with flying colours.

He later moved to Nusrat senior secondary school and was admitted to his field of choice which is the arts field. According to him, Nusrat is his best school so far. This is because he is having many opportunities in nusrat and the school is given him much exposure.

In his grade 10, he represented nusrat at the vice chancellor debate championship organised by UTGDA where his team was declared the winner. This made him earn a scholarship to the university of the Gambia.

He also represented the Gambia in Senegal where his team was declared the overall winners.

Algasim is currently in grade 12 and he is the debate coordinator in his school's press club and the acting drama coordinator in nusrat peer health club.

He is also a student of weLEARN SCHOOL cohort 6 and is receiving daily inspirational lectures from the director of the school, IBUKUN ESTHER ADEBAYO.

At 16 years, he is also a local coordinator at students for liberty which is an international organisation.

Algasim wishes to be a journalist in the future so he can change the misconceptions that people have towards Africa.
